I mean its great prices are getting back to normal, but they could have NOT made them all at bottom bottom bottom prices, allowing many to grab their greedy grubby hands on all the good stuff and corner the market >.<.

And I want the deals they got, so i made a thread in the buy sub-forum called "WTB ECTOS! 300g EACH!"

I dont care how long it takes, it will still probably take less time to get them for 300 each than to either level my ranger or make a monk, get the necessary runes and skills, ascend him, farm him, etc.

I dont think ecto and shards will be worth much, I think when sorrow furnace comes out there will be new materials that everyone will be fighting over for. And maybe new armor that will make fissure look like a joke.

Why are you feeling sorry for A-Net? It's not like anyone is sending death threats to them. It is criticism, and, in my opinion, it is well-deserved. It was a sloppy way to "fix" the economy, and saying that A-Net is damned if they do, and damned if they don't, is just a (lousy) excuse for incompetency.

If I quit Guild Wars in spite, perhaps you'd have a point there. But I'm not. I'm loyal to Guild Wars, and the A-Net development team. I forgive them for their mistakes, but yes, it would be nice if they admitted their faults once in awhile. We DID pay 50 dollars for the damned game, after all.

Why was A-Net in a rush to fix the economy if they didn't have the solution yet, is what I'm asking....

The type of players that WOULD quit this game over a failing economy were the ones who were too rich to care (or perhaps they even enjoyed its downfall), so there was no rush for Guild Wars to fix this bug. As for the players like myself, who are not "rich" in the game, by any stretch of the word, but who realize that the economy is becoming unbearable, well, we were all waiting for A-Net to fix the problem while we passed the time voicing complaints on this very forum, among others. That leaves the extremely poor, which I hope is comprised of mostly new players, who are too broke to realize the economy's current position.

All could have been solved if prices didn't drop so much that several made off like bandits while others just signed off, pissed off.

A thing i fail to understand is simply said... why do you care if others got rich? As long as you can buy for normal prices you really shouldn't care.
And this might just be the first step Arena.net has taken. It might look totally absurd from our point of view but it might be THE solution a few weeks from now. Do we have the (Judges? ) Insight into their plans? We sadly don't have. But we shouldn't just constantly bash them for changing things.

Accept the things how they are, don't get upset about it
If they are really getting out of hand (and one just can't say that after two days...) Arena.net will either take action or we will do ourselves.
Why should i pay 500 platinum for a +30 health upgrade when i can just farm 1000 faction and get it easily from a priest? Does anyone have a counterargument on that?
Some goes for the runes. A full scale PVEer just doesn't require those things to complete the game. While no one can say they don't deserver those are not meant to have those...
The people who REALLY pay those absurd amounts for upgrades are mainly PVPers because they think the little +30 Upgrade is so much superior to their +28 Upgrade they got while playing. It just is not this way

Why make anything cost any amount then? Why not just make the traders give us everything for free. As it stands certain armour styles and colours need a few hundred maybe even a few thousand hours of farming to access. Some people got those things for about half an hour of trading at the reset why should everyone else have to spend a few hundred hours to get the same stuff?

Also the reason to bash A.net is because they managed to take a problem and make it worse instead of implimenting a simple workable solution. They didn't fix the problem and added a new one into the mix. The obvious solution to the economy issue isn't to try and emulate a free market economy but to impliment traders with infinite stocks and fixed prices thus ensuring nobody can screw other players over in order to make more money which is the real cause of the economy troubles. But working that out seems to be beyond the mental faculties of the devs who seem insistent on allowing some players to become rich by jacking up the prices for everyone else. As long as a few people with billions of plat can buy up all the stocks and sell back to other players at increased prices there's always going to be problems with the economy, there's a reason why the real world has monoply laws.

And at least before the patch you could actually buy ecto and superior runes even if they were highly priced. Now you've got to buy off the hoarders and price-gougers. Nice "fix" for the economy.

Umm... did you not read the post you quoted more carefully? He said... if your gold per account is ALREADY MAXED you won't be able to "sell" your items at any price.

You thinking your items are WORTH 5k is meaningless... because you'll never be able to HOLD the 5K IF YOUR GOLD IS ALREADY MAXED!

You need to THINK before you tell someone else they are wrong...

MANY of us who were not on at the time got super screwed.

Yes I know MANY people have said this but it has to be said AGAIN.

You know whats going to happen a.net, the people that were on at the time and completely bought out the market are going to be the millionares of the game.

They will achieve in just maybe over an hour or so what i still havent achieved in about 2 months now.

Your just creating another big wad of rich people, prices are already rising again and they'll just sell for at least 200% profit... AT LEAST!!!!!!!

So my suggestion... DONT MAKE PRICE RESETS IMPROMPTU!

Make another price reset, BUT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD TELL US WHEN IT IS IN ADVANCE!
So some people made out like bandits because ANet finally decide to fix what the majority of people were telling them was broken... big deal. I consider them the lucky few who happened to be around when the "fix came in".

Personally, I'd rather see a few people cash in on a sweet situation like this, then have even MORE people get screwed by the previous economy. I mean, how idiotic is it, that a minor vigor rune could go for 2K at the vendor, but we could only sell them to the vendor for 100? I'd have better luck taking a brand new XBox to a pawn shop!

So I say congrats to the people lucky enough to cash in... at least now I don't have to stand in town shouting "WTS RUNES" anymore...

I consider it like some department stores....

Well hey, everybody can use a helping hand now and then, especially us who have good many hours of gaming and are still in the rut.

One main thing I learned is that i have SUCH bad luck with golds that I dont ID them anymore unless I feel its something I may want to use.... like hopefully I'll find a rare righteous maul... or healing anhk.... or bow that gives energy with low reqs O_o.

But unfortunately i dont get great drops or anything truly worth while, best I found for myself was a purple healing ankh... but I dont have a monk weapon i can use with it, so with the build im trying to do its useless by itself.

All i want is just the same deal they got, and im sure others would like that too, I know this isnt real life but DAMN, if something of that happened in real life with people getting rich just cause they were around, I am more than sure there would be hella chaos O_o.

Money is the lifeblood of the world, wether we like to think that or not.

Now I see im rambling, just make one more set BUT! have it shown ahead of time like "august 20th at 11 pm eastern time" or something on the site, or heck even a month from now. Then those who miss it will just be the dummys who never want to look up updates on the site o.o

Lol and whoever said i want money is quite an idiot.

I dont WANT money, I want the deals people got because of the beginning of the reset, thats all, if I wanted money I would be asking for 150k so i can buy about 15 ectos from people, and for some of us, getting 150k takes months, hell the entire time i played and I havent reached 150k with both my characters combined.

Instead they got 15 of them for less than 5k, I can farm that in a few hours if I really try and would be willing to do that.
